Spring Report 2008
Members:
Greetings to all golfers, I hope you and your families have wintered well and are ready for another season of golf. We hope this year will be a great year for all you golfers that want to come out and enjoy our course. We don't have anything major planned for the golfing season for large projects, but we are hoping to do some minor drainage work in the area in front of ten green, and in some of the other low lying areas to keep water from laying around. Don will continue with his tree pruning this spring and we hope to have that done as soon as possible. As well we will attempt to stabilize the area around the ponds by allowing the grass to grow out from the edge a little further. Our main focus this year will be maintaining the course and setting up for future pond and tee box work. As always Don will attempt to do the odd little project that pops up and requires attention. As I type up this report, the snow is still deep on the course. Don assures me that with all the snow blowing he has been doing, he is hoping to get a quick melt and better drainage. This will hopefully get us out on the course for an early start this season. As always, lets go out and enjoy the year and have some fun.
